Antimicrobial Properties

Hexamidine Diisethionate has strong microbiostatic and/or microbicidal activity against:

- Gram (+) bacteria:Staphylococcus, Sarcina, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium, Propionibacterium, Bacillus,

- Gram (-) bacteria: Escherichia, Proteus, Klebsiella, Salmonella, Serratia,

- Gram (-) bacteria, oxydase (+): Pseudomonas,

- Fungi: Aspergillus, Penicillium, Actinomyces

- Yeasts: Candida, Pityrosporum.

Applications

1 Anti-dandruff (pityrosporum ovale) and anti-desquamation products: shampoo, and other hair care products.

• The effect of anti-dandruff is strong and obvious: 0.02-0.08% addition is enough.

• Easy to apply: it is easy to solve in water and will not lead settlement and color-change.

• No irritation to skin or hair.

• Low cost.

2 Anti-acne and deodorant formulations.

3 Preservative.
