亦称维他命B5，号称可以治疗青春痘，不过仅有一篇1980年代初期的论文支持这样的说法 (出处：International Journal of Dermatology, 1981, volume 20, pages 278-285)，之后没有其他研究发现泛酸对治疗青春痘是有效的，但有少数的研究发现它可以保水及促进伤口癒合 (出处：American Journal of Clinical Dermatology, 2002, volume 3, number 6, pages 427-433)。
