神經醯胺為天然保濕因子，油溶性，為角質層中重要的油性活膚成份，能建立和維持肌膚脂質之屏障，重建細胞黏合性，適合作為熟齡肌膚滋潤使用。神經醯胺3 為人工合成之成份，由 Phytosphingosine(植物鞘氨醇)與硬脂酸醯化後所得，對於肌膚保溼、修護具有良好之作用。
Ceramide 3分為3A及3B兩種，差異在於由飽和及不飽和脂肪酸所組成[1]。

神經醯胺3A型(Ceramide IIIA)：此分子釘具有長效的保濕作用，能增進乾燥與老化肌膚天然脂質對外界侵害的屏障功能。
除此之外，它還能夠抑制黑色素細胞中酪氨基酸酵素(Tyrosinase)的活性，並促進肌膚白皙，晶瑩剔透。
神經醯胺3B型(Ceramide IIIB)：促進肌膚天然保護層的更新，形成一層有效的屏障因 而可抑制水份流失。此分子釘特別適合修護敏感性與乾性肌膚。
