Ferulic acid is a common phenolic acid in the plant kingdom. It combines with polysaccharide and protein in the plant cell walls to form the structure of the cell wall. It is one of the effective components of traditional Chinese medicines such as Angelica Sinensis, Ligusticum wallichii and Ferula, and has a high content in food raw materials such as rice bran, rice husk, wheat bran, vanilla bean, and coffee. In recent years, it has been discovered that ferulic acid is a new non-peptide endothelin antagonist with whitening effect and also has anti-free radicals, antioxidants, promotes blood microcirculation, bodybuilding, and skin protection.
